St Luke’s CE Primary School Newsletter

2.5.19

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter. It was great to see all the children back bright eyed and bushy tailed on Monday.

We arrived back to the very exciting news that Mrs Howe, who as you know had been nominated for an award, has won the best unit manager in the country 2019. This is a very important award and we are incredibly proud of her and all her team.

Please can everyone check at home for school PE uniform we are missing a number of shirts shorts and socks from the official school kit which means children representing us may not be able to wear the uniform. Please can you look under beds, at the back of drawers and wardrobes, in dog baskets, behind the washer etc we would be so grateful to have it back.

After school clubs restart next week apart from those on Thursday which start on Thursday 16th May. The clubs on offer this term are:

Monday – ICT Club & Creative Club

Tuesday – Gardening Club

Thursday – Drama Club & Film Club

All the clubs finish at 4.30. If your child would like to start going to a club no longer wants to go to a club please can you let us know so that the registers are accurate.

Some organised people are starting to ask about the term dates for next academic year so here they are:

4th September Children return to school, New Reception on 6th

24th October children finish for half term                    4th November school restarts

20th December children finish for Christmas              6th January school restarts

14th February children finish for half term                  24th February school restarts

3rd April children finish for Easter                               20th April school restarts

22nd May children finish for half term                          3rd June school restarts

21st July children finish for the summer

I have again managed to give you a week and a half at May half term which enables people to have a holiday when it is cheaper, I know many of you appreciate this. There is still 1 INSET day to be allocated.

PTA news – Well done to everyone the Easter Raffle and tea raised £1,319 amazing.
