Opening eyes, hearts and minds

Dear families of our St. Luke’s children,

Christmas Fair

A massive THANK YOU to our PTA and volunteers who helped make the Christmas Fair a big success.  It was lovely to see so many of our children and their families at the event.  Thank you all for coming and being part of our first Christmas event of the year!

Christmas Dinner

Please can you let us know by Monday 11th December if your child is not having Christmas dinner at school on the 15th.  You can either text or email Mrs Hukin in the office to let us know.  Email is info@st-lukes.derbyshire.sch.uk, text number is 07786201170.  If the children would like to wear a Christmas jumper or t-shirt on that day, please feel free to send them in than that.  If, like lots of people, they hate the feel of Christmas jumpers, they can just come in their school uniform.

Kestrel’s Nativity

Our reception class are putting on a nativity show for the parents/carers on Monday 18th December at 9.15am.  If you haven’t filled in the online form for tickets, please contact the office ASAP so that we can make sure a space is reserved for you.

Christmas Carols in Norfolk Square

The choir have been asked to sing a song at the Carol Service in Norfolk Square on Friday 15th December.  The children would need to gather at the Square with myself and Mrs Hillier at 5.30pm so we can get ready to sing at 5.45pm.  I will send out a Google Form on Monday 11th so we can see who is likely to attend.

Parents’ Choir

Thank you so much to the parents that have put themselves forward for the parents’ song in church on the 22nd December.  The rehearsals sound great and I know the children will love having some of the parents taking part in the service.  There’s one more rehearsal on Thursday 14th straight after school so if you’d still like to take part, we’d love to see you there.

Key Stage 2 fruit

A quick reminder that the deadline for signing up for fruit (Jan to Easter) in KS2 is Friday 15th December.

Wishing you all a restful weekend.
